Shares in Capital Metals PLC (AIM:CMET) jumped 22% after Sri Lanka’s environment minister was given the order of the boot.
The group said Naseer Ahamad had been a significant impediment to progress at its minerals sands project, around 220km east of the capital, Colombo.
Capital Metals chairman Greg Martyr described it as a “positive development”.
The stock, off 62% in the past year, jumped 0.34p to 1.84p in early trade.
