Castillo Copper Ltd (ASX:CCZ, LSE:CCZ) has announced the resignation of managing director Dennis Jensen with immediate effect.
Jack Sedgwick has been appointed as interim executive director to ensure continuity of leadership, Castillo said in a statement.
Jensen left to pursue a new business opportunity, Castillo added.
“Dr Jensen has led the group during a difficult period, with exogenous challenges impacting the industry and core business,” chairman Ged Hall said.
Castillo will now be reviewing its asset portfolio in the coming weeks and prioritising strategic forward plans.
“The board appreciates Dr Jensen's dedication and contribution to the business and wishes him well with the new business opportunity,” Hall continued.
“Moving forward, the board is highly optimistic about prospects and looks forward to working closely with Mr Sedgwick to progress the group's strategic agenda.”
