Infosys likely to keep 2Q earnings on an even keel

Infosys (NASDAQ:INFY) is set to unveil its second-quarter earnings ahead of the opening bell on October 12, 2023, with analysts expecting no change from a year ago.

The India-based IT services firm is expected to reveal a 0.3% rise in revenues to $4.57 billion for the September quarter, according to Zacks Consensus Estimate.

Earnings per share are likely to be unchanged from the $0.18 reported in 2Q 2022, based on six analysts’ forecasts.

The company previously warned of weaker demand in the US and Europe amid broader recession fears. Delayed decisions by clients have resulted in softness across its Financial Services business unit.

With its full-year 2023 results, the company said it was unlikely to return to industry-leading growth until fiscal 2025. It also forecast lower-than-expected revenue for FY2024.

Ahead of its results, the company’s shares were down 1.6% at $17.55 by noon on Monday.
