Dell doubles its share buyback allowance with $5B addition

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) is adding $5 billion to its share buyback authorization, which already includes another $5 billion, the company announced Thursday.

The technology company also intends to raise its quarterly dividend by 10% or more annually through fiscal 2028.

Dell said it is targeting compounded annual revenue growth of 3% to 4% and adjusted per-share earnings growth of 8% or more over the long term.

“We are incredibly well positioned for this next wave of technology expansion, growth and progress,” CEO Michael Dell said in a statement.

“Whether it’s workplace solutions, multicloud, intelligence at the edge, or AI and now GenAI — all of it takes a whole lot of what we offer.”

Shares of Dell fell 2.8% Thursday afternoon to $65.31.
