Vinfast bounces off low thanks to EV delivery growth

VinFast Auto (NASDAQ:VFS) stock has bounced off a record low, up 12% in early deals in New York, after reporting just over 10,000 EV deliveries in its third quarter.

It marked an improvement on the 9,500 units shipped in the preceding quarter and the number reported in the same period last year.

Revenue for the quarter was up 159%, to $343 million, whilst its net loss was marked at $623 million.

Looking ahead, the Asian company confirmed it was now planning to open up a new manufacturing facility in India, by 2026.

On Wednesday, the Vietnam headquartered EV firm traded down to $8.03 which was the stock’s lowest level in its short history since its August IPO price of $22—and the somewhat bizarre subsequent high of $82.35.

In New York, VinFast was up 12% changing hands at $8.98.
