Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ:COST) reported a solid rise in same-store sales in September boosted by growth in Canada and in its international business.
Net sales totalled $22.75 billion for the retail month of September, the five weeks ended October 1, an increase of 6.0% from $21.46 billion last year.
Same-store sales rose 4.5% with growth of 3.2% in the US and 6.7% in Canada through the five-week period.
Elsewhere internationally, sales climbed 10% while e-commerce sales rose 3.7%.
Shares were little moved by the news, down 0.1% in pre-market trading.
