Vivos Therapeutics (NASDAQ:VVOS) has announced two strategic agreements that will expand its current product line of oral appliances for the treatment of breathing-related sleep disorders and are expected to create near-term revenue opportunities, which sent its shares skyrocketing almost 100%.
Shares of Vivos had added 98.3% at US$0.37 at noon on Wednesday.
Vivos said it has partnered with Ormco, a division of Envista Holdings Corporation, to provide their Spark Clear Aligners to its network of Vivos-trained providers.
“This agreement facilitates a strong collaboration effort between Vivos and Ormco, and paves the way for joint marketing and sales support from each company’s field sales teams,” commented Vivos CEO Krik Huntsman.
“Using Vivos CARE devices with Spark Aligners, we expect Vivos patients to see faster treatment times and improved predictability for positive clinical outcomes.”
It is also collaborating with On Demand Orthodontist (ODO) to give Vivos providers direct access and case collaboration with airway-focused orthodontic specialists who are available to help optimize clinical outcomes for Vivos cases.
“ODO orthodontists strongly prefer Spark Aligners due to their many proven clinical capabilities and advantages over other aligner brands,” Huntsman said in a statement.
“Vivos-trained dentists will now benefit from better overall pricing, while Vivos benefits from a distribution margin associated with each case.”
ODO clinical director Dr. John Warford added that from direct clinical observations, Vivos CARE device technology appears to work symbiotically with Spark Clear Aligners to deliver a beautiful new smile for patients.
“Candidly, as an orthodontist who has treated thousands of clear aligner patients, there is simply no other combination of products and techniques that compares to what we are able to do with Spark Aligners and Vivos CARE devices for patients with compromised airways,” he said.
Vivos is a medical technology company focused on developing and commercializing innovative diagnostic and treatment methods for patients suffering from breathing and sleep issues arising from certain dentofacial abnormalities such as mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea and snoring in adults.
