Zoom Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:ZOOM) has unveiled Zoom Docs, a new "modular workspace" designed for collaboration, set to be widely available in 2024.
This addition to Zoom's offerings aims to compete with established office suites such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, both of which have recently integrated their own AI-powered tools.
Unlike its competitors, Zoom Docs appears to be more focused on team collaboration rather than spreadsheets and presentations.
The platform will integrate Zoom AI Companion, a feature that can summarize meetings and generate in-document tables, among other tasks.
In contrast to Microsoft and Google, which charge extra for their AI functionalities, the new Zoom AI product will be included in the current subscription plans.
