WANDisco PLC has officially rebranded as Cirata following a majority shareholder vote conducted on 30 August.
From 5 October, the company’s shares will be trading on the London Stock Exchange under the 'CRTA' ticker.
The rebranding comes after a tumultuous time for a group grappling with mass layoffs, a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) probe into accounting irregularities, and a subsequent AIM trading suspension.
The first half of 2023 “was a traumatic time for shareholders and employees”, chief executive Stephen Kelly acknowledged in September.
Interim revenues halved year on year to US$3 million in the latest interim report, while bookings plummeted 62% to US$2.8 million.
"This is the time to focus our attention on the future,” Kelly said of the rebrand. “The rebranding of the company to Cirata is not just a name change, it is a new start for the company, and will positively impact every aspect of our business.
“We are excited to have this opportunity for Cirata to become a global market leader."
Cirata’s ISIN remains unchanged.
