Site preparation work is underway at Blue Star Helium Ltd (ASX:BNL, OTC:BSNLF)’s Voyager helium project in Colorado USA ahead of the scheduled delivery of the helium recovery unit by IACX Energy.
IACX — an experienced US midstream provider and fully integrated helium production processing and marketing company — will provide helium recovery services at Voyager via the delivery and operation of the initial helium recovery plant.
Blue Star’s earthworks contractor is progressing work on the site preparation that is necessary for the IACX helium recovery unit to be deployed at Voyager. The site requires a substantial pad and part of the site will also serve as a base of operations for ongoing helium exploration and development.
Blue Star has partnered with a nearby mineral leaseholder and surface owner for the needed base gravel.
The company also confirmed that road access work, including heavy vehicle upgrades, is progressing well.
IACX expects to install and commission the facility by the end of this year. It will use its proprietary, PSA-based helium recovery units, which the company is confident will create economical helium extraction and purification from natural gas to high purity with minimal helium losses.
Today’s news follows the announcement on Monday that having secured the generator package for the project, Blue Star has now acquired all principal plant components needed for helium recovery and processing.
