BiVictriX Therapeutics PLC (AIM:BVX, OTC:BVTXF) has named Adrian Howd as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and chief business officer (CBO).
Howd will be taking over from Alex Hughes, who is stepping down from his role as CFO on 13 October.
Howd brings a wealth of experience to BiVictriX, with over 20 years in the biopharmaceutical industry.
He has held various positions and has been involved in raising more than €430 million in funding.
His previous roles include senior positions at investment banks Berenberg Bank, ABN Amro, and Nomura.
Notably, Howd also served as the chief investment officer and CEO at investment firm Malin, where he led the company to a successful debut on the Irish Stock Exchange.
During his time at Malin, he played a key role in investing in two major UK-based biotech companies, Immunocore and Kymab, both of which later achieved multi-billion-dollar exits.
BiVictriX CEO Tiffany Thorn said: "[Adrian's] substantial financial acumen, combined with his strong track record of strategic and operational success with UK oncology businesses will be invaluable, as we look to secure partnership deals and accelerate BiVictriX towards our next phase of development.
"On behalf of the entire team, I would like to express my thanks to Alex for his contributions to the company and wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
