Poolbeg Pharma PLC (AIM:POLB, OTCQB:POLBF), the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical group, has announced the cancellation of the European Patent Office (EPO) hearing concerning its Immunomodulator I European patent.
Initially opposed by a third party in September 2021, the opposition was withdrawn earlier this month.
The EPO has concluded that the hearing is no longer necessary, effectively maintaining the patent as granted.
"We have always maintained confidence in the strength and validity of our patents and we are pleased to bring this matter to a close and look forward to continuing to strengthen our IP protection of this exciting molecule," said chief executive Jeremy Skillington.
