ANGLE PLC (AIM:AGL, OTCQX:ANPCY), a specialist in liquid biopsy and circulating tumour cell (CTC) diagnostics, said that nine posters featuring its ground-breaking cancer technology were on show at a leading industry conference.
The Sixth Advances in Circulating Tumor Cells (ACTC) gathering in Greece saw the focus firmly on ANGLE's Parsortix system.
Presentations were conducted by eight independent study centres across six cancers, underscoring the platform's versatility and efficacy.
A study by Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Italy focused on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and found that CTC-based biomarkers could predict treatment resistance.
The evaluation also suggested that PD-L1+ CTCs could be instrumental in selecting patients for immunotherapy.
Additionally, three posters highlighted the clinical significance of mesenchymal CTCs in lung, pancreatic, and bone cancer. These cells would have been overlooked using traditional epithelial label-dependent CTC capture methods.
Two more posters emphasised the growing interest in combining CTC analysis with ctDNA assays. This dual analysis approach can offer clinicians additional targeted treatment options based on RNA analysis.
