In a progress update, Bruce Lane of GTI Energy Ltd (ASX:GTR, OTC:GTRIF) revealed advancements in drilling permits and ESG initiatives at its Wyoming in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium projects, specifically Lo Herma, Green Mountain and Loki West.
Lane sat down with Proactive’s Andrew Scott and detailed the company's permit progress: "We've been working in the background to get permits from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the State of Wyoming. We're a long way down the track with that and just waiting on the final sign-off from the state of Wyoming.”
“If everything else goes according to plan, we aim to drill around 15,000 feet starting November," Lane added. The drilling program will encompass both verification and exploration efforts, signalling rapid progress since staking the projects earlier this year.
Complementing the drilling plans, GTI Energy has also completed the processing of magnetic and geophysical data. "We got the magnetics data back, and we're expecting the final radiometric processing any day now. That's really helping us to tune our drilling program," said Lane.
Carbon neutral certification
In a groundbreaking move, GTI Energy has become the first ASX-listed uranium explorer to secure carbon neutral certification.
Lane articulated, "We decided that we would pursue full carbon neutrality at a relatively low cost as part of our ESG program. We're happy to be able to say that and will continue to work on mitigating our emissions and offsetting them."
