Stellantis NV (NYSE:STLA, EPA:STLA) announced on Thursday that it has appointed Antonio Filosa, its chief operating officer (COO) in South America, as the new CEO of its Jeep brand, replacing Christian Meunier effective November 1.
The automaker said Meunier will "take a long break to focus on personal interests" after holding the top job at Jeep since May 2019.
Filosa joined the Fiat Group in 1999 as head of purchasing in Latin America, and previously led the Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands in Latin America.
Stellantis noted that Emanuele Cappellano, North America CEO and group strategy and corporate development director at Italian eyewear manufacturer Marcolin Group, will replace Filosa as COO in South America.
Cappellano serves as chief financial officer in South America for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles from 2017 to 2021.
The company added that Jim Morrison will continue to lead Jeep’s North American region.
