Peloton Interactive Inc (NASDAQ:PTON) co-founder and chief product officer Tom Cortese is leaving the company after 12 years, the company announced Tuesday.
Cortese, who helped launch the at-home fitness company with former CEO John Foley, plans to shift to an advisory role on November 1.
“After nearly 12 years of pouring myself into Peloton and serving our Members, I have decided it is time to move on and create space for new perspectives,” Cortese said in a statement.
Cortese will be succeeded by Nick Caldwell, a former Twitter engineer who sits on the boards of Bitly and Hotspot, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Notably, only two c-suite executives from Peloton’s beginning are still with the company: chief content officer Jennifer Cotter and chief emerging business officer Dion Camp Sanders.
This isn’t the first time Peloton has hired from Twitter. Since Barry McCarthy replaced Foley as CEO last year, he’s named Leslie Berland as Peloton’s marketing chief and Dalana Brand as its chief people officer, both of whom previously served as Twitter executives.
Shares of Peloton jumped 4.8% Tuesday and gained another 0.6% in extended trading.
