Prospector Metals Corp. (TSX-V:PPP, OTCQX:ETHOF) has announced that a second field reconnaissance program, including detailed airborne geophysical surveying, is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023 at its 100% owned Devon nickel-copper-platinum-group-elements (PGE) project in northern Ontario.
The precious and base metals explorer said the new program, which follows its highly successful initial work program, will further investigate the potential for district-scale nickel mineralization and cover multiple prospective target structures.
"We look forward to following up on our successful initial field program at Devon with further work and an airborne survey," Prospector Metals vice president exploration ,Jo Price, said in a statement.
"We continue to believe that Devon offers and opportunity for district scale nickel-copper-PGE deposits," she added.
Prospector Metals noted that recent field work completed at Devon returned samples of up to 1.125% copper, 0.53% nickel, and 3.54 grams per tonne (g/t) platinum + palladium and 0.123% cobalt.
The company added that further geophysical and LiDar surveys may be considered at Devon, likely followed by localized ground geophysics of selected targets to further define highly conductive buried targets in potential feeder systems.
Prospector Metals is a Discovery Group company focused on district-scale, early-stage exploration of gold and base metal prospects and creating shareholder value through new discoveries.
The company's focus is to identify underexplored or overlooked mineral districts which display important structural and mineralogical similarities with well-endowed mining camps.
