Babcock International PLC (LSE:BAB)'s AGM should be a relatively straightforward affair given the 40% plus jump in the weapons maker's share price since full-year results in July.
That capped off one of the worries, cost overruns on the UK's Type 31 Frigate contract, albeit at a meaty £100 million provision but it provided some certainty and the market has been looking forward since.
Weapons spending is still rising given the Ukraine war and at the time of the last results, Babcock said trading in the first quarter was as expected.
House broker Peel Hunt points out that Babcock had £2.8 billion of revenue under contract on 1 April with £700 million of framework orders expected to be delivered in this fiscal year.
Babcock also expects to reinstate a dividend in the current year and some commitment to that with the AGM statement would probably go down well.
