Saietta Group PLC (AIM:SED) has appointed ex-Concentric AB boss David Woolley as its new chief executive officer.
Woolley, who headed the Swedish pump manufacturing giant for over 10 years to 2022, will step into the role on 2 October, the electric vehicle (EV) drivetrain specialist said on Wednesday.
Having worked specifically on the shift from internal combustion engines to EV power units at Concentric - which itself focuses on reducing diesel engine emissions - Woolley brings a wealth of experience, Saietta added.
"We are pleased to welcome David at a key time for the business as we move into series production of our innovative eDrive solutions,” executive chairman Tony Gott commented.
Woolley most recently headed decarbonisation technology-focussed investment firm VIE Kapital AB, an experience Gott said would prove “invaluable” to Saietta.
“I believe that Saietta's innovative technologies have a pivotal role to play in delivering electrification, especially in the lightweight vehicle sector,” Woolley said.
“I am delighted to join the team at such an exciting point on its strategic journey as we ramp up production in the UK and India.”
Woolley ultimately replaces Wicher Kist, who stepped down in April to head up Saietta subsidiary Propel B.V.
