Numinus Wellness Inc. (TSX:NUMI, OTC:LKYSF) has congratulated the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies on its Phase 3 study results published in Nature Medicine which showed MDMA to be an effective therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The study is widely regarded as the final step before MDMA-assisted therapy is reviewed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for wider patient access, Numinus said.
"This marks a milestone for both MAPS and the entire psychedelic-assisted therapy community," Numinus CEO Payton Nyquvest said in a statement.
"By further demonstrating the effectiveness of MDMA-assisted therapy for the treatment of PTSD, many in the industry view this as the final step before the treatment undergoes FDA review for approval and the promise of wider patient access."
