In an unprecedented move, Bitcoin defies historical trends, hitting an all-time high of $27,400 before stabilising at $26,760, marking a 0.9% gain against the dollar. The world's largest cryptocurrency remains strong, with the BTC/USDT pair holding steady in Asia's morning trading. The bulls, however, face a tough battle at the crucial $27,000 mark.
This surge is attributed to heightened activity, with daily volumes on centralized exchanges soaring to $11.3 billion, a 19% increase from the previous week.
Meanwhile, Ethereum also hit September highs. In Altcoins Ripple leads the pack with over 7% gains, while Toncoin skyrockets with a remarkable 40% increase. Cardano, BNB, and Dogecoin, however, remain subdued with gains under 5%. The global cryptocurrency market cap now approaches $1.07 trillion, after a 0.7% overnight increase, with Bitcoin's dominance standing firm at 50%.
