PowerTap Hydrogen Fueling Corp, a PowerTap Hydrogen Capital Corp. unit. said it has entered a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) for a combined CO2/hydrogen purchase agreement with Coleman Industrial Gases, LLC.
The parties plan to negotiate a definite offtake agreement, including pricing and terms, by the end of 2023, under which PowerTap US provides food-grade CO2 and fueling-grade hydrogen.
PowerTap’s on-site hydrogen production and fueling equipment will be deployed at several sites and its hydrogen production hub sites will use Coleman’s rail-based tankers as primary CO2 storage tanks.
The LOI envisages that dry ice manufacturing from Coleman affiliate, CMC Dry Ice Manufacturing, LLC, is integrated as a co-located distribution center at PowerTap US refueling stations.
"Our pending partnership with Coleman is a testament to the power of collaboration in advancing clean energy solutions. Together, we are poised to make a positive impact on the environment while meeting the evolving needs of our customers," Salim Rahemtulla, CEO of PowerTap said in a statement.
