The Premarket: GM, Ford, Stellantis, Chevron, ARM, Clorox

Car-makers General Motors Company (NYSE:GM), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), and Stellantis NV (NYSE:STLA, EPA:STLA) were in focus at the start of new week, ahead of Monday’s opening bell, after talks resumed over the weekend with the UAW union.

GM stock was a sliver higher, up 0.15% at $34.00, whilst Ford was down 0.16% at $12.59.

Meanwhile, Chrysler and Dodge parent Stellantis was 2.2% lower at $143.00.

Elsewhere, in Australia, Chevron (NYSE:CVX) is also navigating an industrial dispute and today saw operations get back to 100% at its LNG facilities down under after latest worker strikes over the weekend.

Closer to home, Chevron was named among the ‘big oil’ companies targeted by the State of California in a lawsuit over “50 years of lies” about climate change.

In premarket, Chevron was trading up 0.2% at $166.80.

ARM Holdings saw some likely profit-taking at start of Monday’s early dealing, after its stronger-than-expected showing in last week’s IPO.

Bleach parent The Clorox Company (NYSE:CLX) was trading lower at the start of the week, as it cautioned that a recent cyberattack was expected to result in a ‘material’ impact on its first quarter financial results.

The attach caused lower order rates and slower order processing, as certain parts of its technology infrastructure was impinged. The cleaning products firm told investors it expects process operations to be back on track next week.

In New York, Clorox stock was down $3.20 or 2.2% in premarket trading at $143.00.
