Avricore Health (TSX-V:AVCR, OTC:AVCRF) announced it has expanded its HealthTab point-of-care screening and health-data management platform further into the Canadian pharmacy ecosystem with Rexall Pharmacy Group, one of Canada’s largest pharmacy retailers with approximately 400 pharmacies across the country.
Patients began accessing testing at the Rexall Pharmacy Walk-In Clinic in Sherwood Park, Alberta on September 15, with HealthTab offering both the Afinion 2 blood-chemistry analyzer as well as the ID Now molecular platform by Abbott Rapid Diagnostics.
The Walk-In Clinic gives patients quick access to their test results and allows for immediate consultation with their pharmacist, Avricore said in a statement.
“With Pharmacies’ expanded scope and rising patient demand, the need for the clinical pharmacy practice is greater than ever,” commented Avricore CEO Hector Bremner.

Avricore noted that HealthTab’s growth over the past year has helped pharmacists screen patients at risk for developing diabetes and cardiovascular conditions, as well as support those already diagnosed to better manage their conditions. With the addition of Rexall within the HealthTab network, the company said patients will have easier access to care and be supported to make meaningful and impactful changes to their health.
