ARM shares trade lower after impressive IPO

ARM Holdings shares fell in early trade on Friday after an impressive debut on the Nasdaq the previous day.

Shares of the British semiconductor maker were down 2% at US$62.25 after closing up about 25% from its listing price of $51 a share on Thursday.

This gave the company a valuation of about $65 billion in its return to the public markets following a seven-year hiatus.

The highly anticipated listing is another sign the IPO market continues to accelerate following a downturn of activity in 2022, along with the debuts of beauty company Oddity and restaurant chain Cava and upcoming IPOs of Instacart and Klaviyo.
