The market continues to digest all the promotion coming from Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) with its reveal of four iPhone 15 models, along with a pair of new Apple Watch varieties.
Apple unveiled the standard iPhone 15 starting at $799, the 15 Plus starting at $899, the iPhone 15 Pro at $999, and the iPhone Pro Max at $1,199. The Series 9 Apple Watch will be priced at $399, with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 priced at $799.
Preorders for all four iPhone models start on September 15, with in-store availability on September 22, the same date the watch goes on sale. Read more
Xpeng Inc (NYSE:XPEV) stock was down a little more than 3% in early deals after the European Union launched an ‘anti-subsidy’ investigation into Chinese electric vehicle makers.
New York-listed, Chinese EV stocks were on the back foot.
NIO Inc (NYSE:NIO) was down 2.2% at $10.34 whilst Li Auto Inc (NASDAQ:LI) fell 2.4% at $39.72.
Wallbox (NYSE:WBX) stock rose by 3.3%, to $2.80, on news of a deal with Best Buy which is expected to see more consumer get access to the company’s Pulsar Plus EV charger product (which retails at around $650).
Moderna Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:MRNA) was up 4%, at $109.65, after the FDA approved its latest COVID vaccine boosters.
InnovAge (NASDAQ:INNV) shares tumbled, down 7.6% at $6.00, adding to Tuesday’s earlier losses as medical services firm reported an adjusted loss of $0.09 per share on revenue of $176.87 million, compared to expectations of a $0.03 loss on revenue of $175.71 million.
Lesaka Technologies (NASDAQ:LSAK) shares were down 1.8% in premarket dealing, at $3.79, after the South Africa-based fintech company beat revenue but missed earnings expectations.
