Salesforce.com, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) announced at its Dreamforce customer event in San Fransisco that it is launching a conversational artificial intelligence (AI) assistant for its customer relationship management (CRM) applications, including the messaging platform Slack and data visualization tool Tableau.
The company said Einstein CoPilot can complete a range of tasks across sales, services, marketing, commerce and IT, such as summarizing video calls and generating emails for marketing campaigns.
It can also serve as a virtual assistant by setting reminders and scheduling meetings, among other functions.
At the Dreamforce event, the company also announced a new platform called Einstein 1 which will link Salesforce CRM data and generative AI and an expansion to its strategic partnership with Google Workspace to integrate the two companies’ generative AI assistants.
“The reality is every company will undergo an AI transformation to increase productivity, drive efficiency, and deliver incredible customer and employee experiences,” Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said in a statement.
“With Einstein Copilot and Data Cloud, we’re making it easy to create powerful AI assistants and infuse trusted AI into the flow of work across every job, business, and industry. In this new world, everyone can now be an Einstein.”
Salesforce shares traded lower in the early afternoon on Tuesday, down 0.7% at US$223.73.
