Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE:GSCU) said assays from the latest samples at Especularita in Chile had identified multiple copper and silver targets to follow up with more exploration work.
A first magnetic survey, by drone, has also been carried out over drill-ready targets Teresita and Victoria at Especularita to provide a more detailed overview.
Going forward, GSC said prospect-scale exploration at Especularita is ongoing at Victoria and Aurelia through mapping and soil sampling, while planning and permitting are underway for scout drilling at the Teresita and Abundante prospects.
Sam Garrett, chief executive said: "This comprehensive stream sediment survey at Especularita has been very effective, and together with other regional datasets, is helping the company complete reconnaissance-scale exploration across its large project footprint.
“Using these results, the company will now commence a regional follow-up mapping and sampling campaign with the aim of delineating prospect-scale targets for scout drilling.
"In addition, we are awaiting the interpretation report from the completed drone magnetics survey, which will be used together with the stream sediment survey data to further refine our targeting. “
