BT’s consumer division is in decent shape according to analysts at Deutsche Bank, who met with its head Marc Allera at a conference last week.
“Despite our well-publicised apprehensions with regard BT Group’s equity over the last few years, Consumer was always the smallest of our concerns and looks set to remain so,” it said.
The bank said Allera had plenty of ideas around convergence, customer experience and new products as well as cost opportunities via digital.
That frees up new BT group chief executive Allison Kirkby to focus 'on more pressing projects' such as regulatory and employee relations, B2B, IT upgrades and headcount reduction, Deutsche Bank added.
Hold with a 145p price target is Deutsche Bank’s view.
