China's Ant Group unveils AI-powered language models for finance industry

Ant Group, China's leading fintech firm, has introduced two large language models (LLMs) designed for the finance industry.

The AI models, known as Zhixiaozhu 1.0 and Zhixiaobao 2.0, cater to both financial professionals and consumers.

Zhixiaozhu 1.0 serves as a digital business assistant for finance industry experts, while Zhixiaobao 2.0 aids consumers in making financial decisions and provides education on financial matters.

Ant Group's financial LLM has undergone extensive training on vast datasets and real-world industry applications. These models offer a range of professional services, including wealth management, market analysis, and investor education.

Zhixiaobao 2.0 boasts a 95% accuracy rate in recognizing financial intentions.

Ant Group joins other Chinese tech giants like Tencent and Xiaomi in the race to develop AI models. Over 130 companies have introduced LLMs similar to those behind OpenAI's ChatGPT.

China has implemented interim rules to regulate generative AI models, requiring security clearance before public release. Despite these regulations, Chinese authorities are actively supporting domestic companies in their AI endeavors. Eleven companies, including ByteDance (owner of TikTok), have received approvals for AI products.

Zhixiaobao 2.0 is poised for deployment, pending approval from Chinese authorities. Zhixiaozhu 1.0 is still undergoing testing.
