Graphene Manufacturing Group announced the appointment of manufacturing executive Jack Perkowski to its board of directors,
Perkowski's career includes the founding of ASIMCO Technologies in 1994, where he served as chairman of ASIMCO's Board of Directors and its CEO.
Under his guidance, ASIMCO emerged as a powerhouse in China's automotive components industry, renowned for its innovative local management practices and integration of Chinese operations into the global economy.
In 2010, ASIMCO achieved a major milestone when it was acquired by Bain Capital, solidifying its status as one of China's most successful automotive component manufacturers.
Perkowski also spent two decades on Wall Street, where he held the prestigious position of head of Investment Banking at Paine Webber.
Craig Nicol, GMG’s CEO, told shareholders he was “very excited” to have Perkowski join the board to support GMG’s progression into a commercial manufacturing operation.
“His finance and manufacturing entrepreneur experience and knowledge will be a great addition to the company and board - I very much look forward to working with him."
Guy Outen, GMG's chair echoed the sentiment.
“His past successes at Paine Webber and ASIMCO and his knowledge in manufacturing and finance give me confidence that he will be a great asset to the board and in supporting GMG's significant aspirations."
GMG is a clean-technology company that has developed a proprietary production process to decompose natural gas into its elements, which produces high quality graphene suitable for use in clean-technology and other applications.
