ChatGPT's monthly website visits declined for the third month in a row in August, though the rate of slippage is slowing, said analytics firm Similarweb.
Around 1.43 billion users clicked on in August, down by 3.2% from a month earlier, which itself had seen a drop of approximately 10% from the preceding month.
Visitors also spent an average of seven minutes on the site compared to 8.7 minutes in March.
But it wasn’t all bad for the phenomenally successful AI platform as unique visitors ticked up to 180.5 million users from 180 million, which the consultant said might be down to a back-to-school rush.
