Polarean Imaging PLC (AIM:POLX, OTC:PLLWF) (AIM: POLX), a specialist in advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for the lungs, has announced a strategic partnership with VIDA Diagnostics, a clinical imaging intelligence firm. The collaboration aims to enhance the Polarean xenon 129 MRI platform for accelerated clinical and research applications.
VIDA's cloud-native, artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled imaging management platform is already operational at over 1,000 clinical and research sites worldwide.
It offers a unique orchestration engine that integrates multimodality clinical algorithms, making high-quality imaging biomarkers more accessible.
The joint venture will focus on integrating xenon 129 MRI into the clinical care continuum and establishing a clinical trial network using standardised image acquisition and data-sharing methods.
The partnership will also develop automated image-processing workflows and algorithms. These innovations are expected to broaden the use of xenon 129 MRI in lung imaging and explore new indications in populations with unmet medical needs. The collaboration will additionally open new avenues for research and expand opportunities in lung imaging.
"Polarean continues to cultivate partnerships with entities that enhance our core capabilities," said chief executive, Christopher von Jako.
"We are excited to form this partnership with VIDA, a world-renowned organisation in the field of lung imaging software platform solutions and biomarker development, to capitalise on their complementary expertise."
