Active Energy Group PLC (AIM:AEG, OTCQB:ATGVF) said it has been voted onto the International Biomass Torrefaction and Carbonisation Council (IBTC), an organisation promoting the sustainable production of torrefied or carbonised technology products as a replacement for coal.
Torrefaction, pyrolysis, carbonisation and even steam explosion are all thermal treatment processes that IBTC members are developing to upgrade solid biomasses into substitutes for conventional carbon.
Active Energy believes these can efficiently replace fossil carbon in all industries and applications.
