Tissue Regenix targeting sports medicine market with sterilisation technology

Tissue Regenix Group PLC (AIM:TRX) has launched its latest BioRinse product line, targeting the sports medicine allograft market both in the US and globally.

The company's innovative sterilisation technology employs unique processes to create sterile bone and soft tissue products. It also minimises tissue damage.

The primary application for these grafts lies in sports medicine, predominantly for tendon and ligament reconstruction in joints such as the knee, ankle and elbow.

Tissue Regenix had previously indicated its intention to refine the processing protocols of its soft tissue products.

The aim is to boost performance, efficiency and safety in the products they already offer to the sports medicine sector.

With these advancements, the company hopes to tap into a more substantial share of the estimated US$300 million market for allograft soft tissue tendons used in knee ligament reconstruction procedures.

Chief executive Daniel Lee told investors: "As part of our ongoing initiatives to provide high-quality products to our customers, we continually monitor market dynamics and customer needs. With the launch of our new product, we are offering an enhanced tissue allograft option.

"The initial reaction of our commercial partners has been positive and will aid our commercial efforts in both the domestic and rest of the world markets."
