Grab your popcorn and a stack of friendship bracelets - Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour concert is coming to cinemas across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The pop superstar announced on Thursday morning that the theatrical concert experience will open in theatres on Friday, October 13.
The news boosted shares of cinema chains such as AMC Entertainment Holdings (NYSE:AMC) and Cineplex (TSX:CGX), which had added 1.9% to US$12.96 and 0.9% to C$8.32 respectively by mid-morning Thursday.

AMC and Cineplex (TSX:CGX) said the concert film will play on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with adult tickets priced at $19.89 (a reference to Swift's album 1989) and children’s tickets at $13.13.
It will also be available in a wide selection of premium experiences such as IMAX, AMC’s Dolby and Cineplex (TSX:CGX)’s VIP Cinemas and UltraAVX.
AMC said that, in anticipation of advance ticket demands, it has bolstered its ticket server capacity to handle traffic at more than five times the current record for the most ever tickets sold in an hour.
Swift’s Eras Tour was attended by more than three million fans during the first leg of its U.S. run. It is on track to be the first-ever tour to surpass $1 billion in ticket revenue.
