Burger King is facing legal action from customers arguing its Whopper burgers are smaller than advertised.
Having seen a judge reject Burger King’s bid to dismiss the case last week, some 20 people will argue against the fast-food chain in Florida over claims its burgers are smaller than pictured on menus.
According to plaintiffs, Burger King’s advertised whopper is 35% larger than the actual product and contains more than twice the meat in photographs.
Burger King denied the allegations though, dubbing the claims as “false”.
“The flame-grilled beef patties portrayed in our advertising are the same patties used in the millions of Whopper sandwiches we serve to guests nationwide,” the company said.
Claimants had been seeking monetary damages for all those “who were deceived” by the pictured Whoppers, with US District Judge Roy Altman sending the case to jurors last week.
