Aldoro Resources to hit the ground at Kameelburg Rare Earths Project on executing definitive JV agreement

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) will hit the ground running after executing a definitive joint venture agreement for the Kameelburg Rare Earths Project in Namibia with metallurgical sampling set to begin next week.

The agreement, with Logan Exploration Investments, covers the licences EPL 7372, 7373 and 7895 which make up the Kameelburg project.

Aldoro also confirms that environmental clearance is expected within the coming two weeks with minimal ground-disturbing activities, such as reconnaissance fieldwork, permitted while this is pending.

Heritage Council consent

The company has been granted consent from the National Heritage Council of Namibia for exploration activities to take place at the Kameelburg Project — the final step required before environmental clearance can be issued.

The required environmental clearance certificate is now expected to be granted by the Department of Environmental Affairs within the next two weeks.

Metallurgical sampling imminent

A total of nine sampling locations have been proposed for portable core drilling, subject to ground investigations in determining the availability of thick homogenous material as part of targeting the higher rare earth element (REE) phases.

Eight of these sites are within the carbonatite outline and the ninth is located within a thick marginal dyke.

Aldoro expects that around 120 kilograms of sample material will be collected at each site using a portable core drill with a 100mm diameter and 1-metre reach. This initiative is on schedule for the first week of September.

The company also plans to investigate a peripheral dyke with a historic report of 4.75% niobium pentoxide assay to establish its strike extent and continuity of mineralisation.
