Apple stock trades higher as iPhone 15 countdown begins

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) has set the countdown clock ticking, confirming a date of 12 September for a ‘Fall product event’ that’s widely expected to include a preview of the new iPhone.

In New York, Apple stock was advanced just over 2% on Tuesday, up $3.60 changing hands at $183.76.

Fans and avid Apple-watchers are predicting that three versions of the iPhone 15 will be showcased at the event with reports suggesting there’ll be a more expensive ‘pro’ model and two ‘regular’ handsets.

Price-point will perhaps be another significant factor, especially for investors, given the likely tighter consumer market for this year’s launches.

With just over two weeks to go until the hotly anticipated event there remains plenty of time for speculation, leaks or rumour.

For consumers and investors alike, Apple product showcases are always keenly followed.
