Midday movers: VinFast, 3M, Boston Scientific, Amaroq and more

VinFast continues winning streak

VinFast Auto Ltd (NASDAQ:VFS) shares have surged more than 369% since the Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker’s stock debuted in an initial public offering (IPO) on August 15.

VinFast now boasts a higher market capitalization than General Motors Co and Ford Motor Co combined. Its shares gained another 21% on Monday at nearly US$83.

Euro Sun up on royalty deal

Euro Sun Mining Inc (TSX:ESM, OTC:CPNFF) shares rose nealry 15% after it announced that it has entered into a net smelter return (NSR) royalty agreement with certain purchasers (holder) for its Rovina Valley project in Romania.

The resource exploration and development company said the holder has acquired a 1.0% NSR royalty for C$4.0 million, with C$2.0 million paid as of the date of the agreement and the remainder to be paid within nine months.

Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX) trial success

Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX) shares rose almost 5% after the biotechnology company reported positive results from its pivotal atrial fibrillation (AF) trial.

The trial compared the company’s FARAPULSE Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) System against standard-of-care ablation for AF, a type of abnormal heartbeat.

The data demonstrated that the FARAPULSE PFA System was non-inferior to standard-of-care therapies.

Amaroq Minerals hits 52-week high

Amaroq Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:AMRQ, AIM:AMRQ) stock reached a new 52-week high on Monday as positive sentiment toward the Greenland-focused gold and strategic metals explorer continues to boost its share price.

By midday in Toronto, the company’s shares were up 7% at C$0.91, taking gains for the past year to 38%. Its London-listed shares were untraded due to a bank holiday in the UK.

3M gains on settlement resolution

3M Co (NYSE:MMM) has tentatively agreed to pay more than $5.5 billion to resolve over 300,000 lawsuits alleging that the company sold defective combat earplugs to the US military.

The settlement amount is approximately half of the roughly $10 billion that some financial analysts had predicted 3M would end up paying due to allegations that the earplugs failed to adequately protect the hearing of service members.

As a result, shares of the St Paul, Minnesota-based conglomerate were up over 5.8% in early trading Monday in New York.

Domo (NASDAQ:DOMO) stock slide continues

Domo (NASDAQ:DOMO) shares fell further in late-morning trading on Monday, off 1.5% at $10.78.

On Friday, shares of cloud software company that specializes in business intelligence tools and data visualization sank 36% after the company slashed its full-year revenue guidance to between $316 million and $320 million, lower than the previously forecast of $323 million to $330 million, and below the $326 million expected by analysts.
