San Leon says associate to apply for pipeline access

San Leon Energy PLC (AIM:SLE, OTC:SLGYF) said associate Decklar Resources has applied for permits to access the reopened Trans-Niger Pipeline and transport crude from the Oza oil field in Nigeria.

In the meantime, Declar has trucked 45,000 bbls so far in 2023 to the Edo refinery and 13,000 barrels to the DMCL refinery.

San Leon added there have been some delays in obtaining permits to truck crude to the refineries, but anticipates that with new systems recently implemented by the government regulatory agencies, future permits will be obtained and issued in a more timely and efficient manner.

San Leon has an 11% shareholding in Decklar Petroleum Limited, the local subsidiary of Decklar operating in Nigeria, and has also made a US$5.5 million loan to DPL, via 10% per annum unsecured subordinated loan notes.

San Leon added it continues to explore a potential sale of its non-core investments in DPL.
