Fireweed Metals Corp (TSX-V:FWZ, OTCQB:FWEDF) announced that it has appointed Alex Campbell to the position of Vice President Corporate Development.
Campbell will focus on finding, evaluating, and executing strategic opportunities for the company, Fireweed said.
He brings more than 10 years of combined expertise in South American mining operations, mine finance, and Global Capital Markets.
He began his career at Antofagasta Minerals before relocating to Colorado and working at Resource Capital Funds and the Critical Minerals Institute.
He also spent five years with CIBC’s Mining Investment Banking Team in Vancouver where he played an instrumental role in executing diverse corporate transactions across various commodities and asset-level stages, according to Fireweed.

Alex’s diverse experience from mining to banking, combined with his passion for our industry, makes him a fantastic addition to the team as we navigate these opportunities,” commented Fireweed CEO Brandon Macdonald in a statement.

Additionally, the company announced that, per its stock option plan, it has granted 452,000 stock options to certain employees, exercisable at $1.70 per share for a five-year term.
