Energy prices to fall but price cap confusion remains
Energy regulator Ofgem is also due to announce the new energy price cap next Friday, with another drop in household bills expected.
The new cap – which determines how much suppliers can charge per unit of energy – will fall from £2,074 currently to £1,926 on October 1, Cornwall Insight analysts believe.
