Health firm ValiRx jumps as cash reserves soar and per share losses slip

Shares in early-stage cancer therapeutics and women's health-focused company ValiRx PLC (AIM:VAL) jumped on Thursday morning as the company reported growing cash reserves at the half-year stage.

As of June 30, cash stood at £891,246, up almost tenfold on £97,699 last year, ValiRx reported on Thursday morning, while per-share losses slipped from 1.53p to 1.03p

Total losses climbed over 4% from £992,481 to £1.04 million though, with the medicine development company having made an acquisition and signed a host of collaboration agreements over the half year.

Shares climbed by 11.5% to as high as 6.8p on Thursday.
