Polestar, the Swedish electric vehicle (EV) maker, has hit 150,000 deliveries of its Polestar 2 car, the company announced.
The company is the fastest-growing car brand in the UK, with 20,000 Polestar vehicles on the road in the country.
The Polestar 2 long-range single motor is certified for up to 320 miles EPA with a maximum DC charging speed of up to 205 kW for versions with the new 82 kWh battery.
"The upgraded Polestar 2 is the best version to date,” CEO Thomas Ingenlath said. “With improved software, better quality, longer range and faster charging, it is the basis from which we continue to grow our business."
Shares of Polestar rose almost 3% to $3.69 Wednesday morning.
Long term, Polestar projects to have a lineup of five performance EVs by 2026. Polestar 2, a fastback; Polestar 3, an SUV; Polestar 4, an SUV coupé; Polestar 5, an electric fourdoor GT; and Polestar 6, an electric roadster.
