Getting beaten convincingly by Spurs on Saturday, looking shaky at home against Wolves in their first game and being desperate for any sliver of an update regarding a takeover, Manchester United PLC (NYSE:MANU) fans have had it tough so far this season.
However, fans of the red devils might be able to take solace in the fact that they are one of the most loyal followers out of any Premier League team, ranking sixth in terms of social media engagement rates.
Analysing fan interactions with the club on TikTok, casino site PikakasinotSuomi found Man Utd’s account, which has a little over 23 million followers, had an 11.5% engagement rate on the app – beating rivals Manchester City as well as Newcastle and Everton.

Receiving the largest number of likes on TikTok for a Premier League football club with over 537 million, the top six side will have to yet again suffer a loss to Spurs, as it's the only team to have more followers than United.
Talks about United’s potential takeover have quieted hugely since the self-imposed deadline by the Glazers passed, with rumours of a £7 billion price tag being the only thing fans are able to hold onto at the moment.
Shares in Manchester United are almost as deflated as the team, down more than 2% on Monday, having opened at around US$22.50.
