NV Gold Corporation (TSX-V:NVX, OTC:NVGLF) has announced assay results from the recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drill program at its 100%-owned Triple T Gold Project in Nevada, which included up to 4.57 metres (m) averaging 2.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold in drill hole TT-9 and 9.14m averaging 1.4 g/t Au in hole TT-11.
The gold exploration company said almost all drill holes intersected one or more, near-surface mineralized quartz veins.
"Our recent successful drilling at Triple T, combined with detailed geologic mapping and structural interpretation has illuminated new targets and expanded dimensions for this project," NV Gold chairman John Watson said in a statement.
"Recent sampling of numerous outcropping quartz veins north of the drilling area has the potential to enlarge the mineralized zone even further," he added.
NV Gold noted that the recent drilling and mapping program has confirmed the presence of a regional low-angle thrust plane (shear zone) controlling the Triple T gold mineralization over a strike length of up to five kilometers and possibly further on under cover rocks.
It added that the North Target area now measures 250m by 400m and remains open north and south as well as down-dip to the east.
As well, NV Gold said it is planning induced polarization (IP) investigations to reveal potentially larger erosion-protected targets along the promising structural gold-corridor.
NV Gold has a stated vision of seeking to discover North America’s next multimillion-ounce gold resource through focused exploration activities in Nevada.
