West Cobar Metals continues to develop the Salazar REE Project

West Cobar Metals continues to develop the Salazar REE Project

West Cobar Metals Ltd (ASX:WC1) managing director Matt Szwedzicki speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive London about the work the ASX-listed junior is doing at its flagship Salazar Project in Western Australia, where the company has identified a substantial resource of 190 million tonnes of rare earth oxide. Szwedzicki highlights the importance of rare earths and rare earth projects for the future of the world's electrification and decarbonisation efforts, given their use in the production of magnets.

Szwedzicki also notes the Project's strategic location and the resource's impressive growth through recent drilling. West Cobar Metals is also exploring throughout Australia as well as in Nevada, USA, where Szwedzicki highlights the proximity of the company's operations to a major source of demand for raw materials for electric vehicle batteries. The company describes itself as "an exploration and development company with a critical mineral project portfolio spanning Tier-1 mining jurisdictions."
