Wearable Devices shares added more than 20% on Tuesday after the company announced it has completed the manufacturing of its first batch of Mudra Bands for the Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) Watch, with delivery set to begin in the coming weeks.
The Israel-based company, which is developing artificial intelligence-based neural input interface technologies, said the Mudra Band was initially launched to facilitate the touchless operation of the Apple Watch via neural signals.
With its Air-Touch feature, users can navigate Apple devices, including iPhones and smart glasses, using subtle finger movements and spatial gestures.
“We are delighted to have reached this milestone, and it is with great enthusiasm that we prepare to ship the first batch to our dedicated customers, whose trust in our vision and technology has been a driving force for us as we continue to grow our business,” Wearable Devices CEO Asher Dahan said in a statement.
The company’s stock had added 20.4% at US$1.36 mid-morning on Tuesday.
