Bunzl PLC (LSE:BNZL), the ever-acquisitive specialist distribution company, has added over £110 million to its sales through deals in Spain, Brazil, the Netherlands and Canada.
In June, Bunzl acquired La Cartuja Complementos Hostelería, a distributor of food service and hospitality equipment in Spain that generated revenue of €5 million (£4 million) in 2022.
In July, Bunzl agreed to buy Brazilian cleaning product distributor Grupo Lanlimp, which generated revenue of BRL 210 million (c.£33 million) in 2022.
The FTSE 100 group said this deal is subject to competition clearance as it strengthens its position in a fragmented market.
Another cleaning products distributor, Netherlands-based Groveko, with €23 million (£20 million) of revenue in 2022, was acquired this month.
Bunzl has also acquired PackPro, which supplies packaging to food processors and industrial customers in Canada and generated sales of C$33 million (c.£20 million) in 2022.
A deal to acquire Leal Equipamentos de Proteção, a specialised safety distributor in Brazil with sales of BRL 216 million (c.£34 million) in 2022, had also been completed said the statement.
Frank van Zanten, Bunzl’s chief executive, said the range of companies acquired “demonstrates the great breadth of opportunities that we have around the world for continued acquisition growth”.
